CBI chief Alok Verma can carry on with probes, file new FIRs

CBI director Alok Verma will join office again but the SC has put one condition that he cannot take any major policy decision and will have to confine himself to routine functions. Several officials pointed out the Delhi Special Police Establishment Act has nothing specific that refers to any particular task in CBI as “policy decision”.
